What is an Upcoming event?

Simply put, Upcoming events are reminders for your members. They behave like events in a calendar; they automatically send notifications to your members, so they can be used to effectively promote your upcoming projects. When you create Upcoming events, your members will be able to view them in their Upcoming page. They can access this page by clicking the calendar button on the home page and on your artst Hub.

Why would I use an Upcoming event?

There are many uses for Upcoming events but we'll give you an example of what might be the most common. Imagine you're releasing a new music video on YouTube in one month and you want your members to know when it's dropping. Some artists may work with their members to promote this new video together, but even if you don't, you can use an Upcoming event to remind your members of when your music video will go live. Your members will receive notifications as the date of your music video release nears, and they'll gain access to a direct link to the video when it goes live.

How often will my members receive a notification?

As long as your members have push notifications switched on, they will receive notifications at the following intervals:

  • When you create the upcoming event
  • 1 month before the event
  • 1 week before the event
  • 24 hours before the event
  • 1 hour before the event
  • At the time of the event

How do I create an Upcoming event?

Log in to your artist account on the artst web app and click on "Upcoming" in the left side menu.

Start by clicking on the plus "+" button next on the Create Event header. Add a title that describes your upcoming event. Be aware that longer titles will be shortened when displayed to members on the mobile app.

You can add a link (URL) to your event by turning the switch on.

Paste your link (URL) into the field and then select when you want your link to be activated. Select "Now" if you want your members to access the link (URL) immediately after you publish the event. Select "Then" if you don’t want your members to access the link until the event (date + time) has occurred. Note: you can always edit these link settings later. If members tap on the event, they will be taken to your artst Hub unless your link is active. When your link is active, they will be redirected to the app or page you are linking to.

Set the date and time of your event. All scheduling is processed in your local timezone.

Click Save to publish the event to your Upcoming calendar.
